Quirk employees in Bangor donate to Eastern Maine Agency on Agings’ Fury Friends Food Bank
The number one goal of Fury Friends Food Bank is to keep local seniors and their pets together. Quirk employees statewide appreciate the value of pets in peoples lives and have selected the Fury Friends Food Bank, part of Eastern Area Agency on Aging, to receive a donation from our employees.
Eastern Maine Agency on Aging, through the Fury Friends Food Bank program, is dedicated to preserving the special bond between seniors and their pets by providing pre-packaged standardized bags of pet food and basic pet care supplies to low-income seniors on a monthly basis.
Pets give seniors a sense of purpose by providing comfort day and night. They don’t mind being told the same story over and over again, need attention and affection to survive and provide unconditional love. Pets make people, especially seniors, thrive and feel useful.
